The story of a Canadian native – 1975 Bricklin SV-1

Posted by:

Recently, Corsia Logistics shipped one very peculiar automobile – the 1975 Bricklin SV-1. This is a car with an interesting history. Everything around it is veiled in controversy, marketing issues, staff problems, and a bunch of other misfortunes. Honestly, the fact that it even exists is somewhat baffling on its own.

Considering that Bricklins are scarcer than most classic models, transporting one is definitely a big deal. The car itself may have had its problems, but through the lens of time perhaps ...

BMW RS 700 – The ultimate racing legend

Posted by:

Most years throughout history fly by without anything remarkable. But some… some are filled to the brim with events that change the course of humankind altogether.

The year 1961 was one such. It has brought many changes to the world. Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet cosmonaut, became the first man in space. John Kennedy took office as the 35th president and  committed us to “landing on the moon by the end of the decade”. The actions of a UK lawyer, Peter Benenson, ...

What it’s like to own a race car

Posted by:

We enjoy racing because of our subconscious desire to cross boundaries and set records. We see speeding as our basic right, regardless of the existing speed limits. Race car drivers become our heroes. Automakers build fast and powerful beasts that make our hearts race in unison with the engine. And yet, for most of us owning a race car is just another pipe dream. Or is it?

What is it really like to be a race car owner? Who gets the ...

NASCAR vs F1:Differences and Similarities

Posted by:

The truth is most people are only fans of one or the other. Discussions on which is better are often heated and completely biased. Which is why I thought it would be fun to compare the two. Enjoy!

Chances are if you’ve lived in the US for anything more than a couple of months, you are pretty familiar with NASCAR. It’s virtually everywhere.

Statistics show that about a third of all Americans consider themselves fans of the sport. Most ...

Disadvantages of Owning a High-Performance Car

Posted by:

Burning through fuel like it’s nobody’s business isn’t even the main downside of these cars. There are far greater challenges people don’t truly consider. So today I’m focusing on the cons that come with such vehicles. They may not be the dream-come-true cars you have in the back of your mind.

Although you may think a brand new Honda looks super sporty, it may not be a high-performance vehicle. And that modded Corolla your friend owns is not necessarily one either.

When ...

Why and how to drive a stick shift?

Posted by:

We would not be true to our human nature if we didn’t ask “why.” Why aren’t things cheaper? Why are sugary foods so delicious? Why should I know how to drive a stick shift?

Although I can go pretty deep into all these questions, let’s stick with the last one (pun intended). Even if you are a fan of automatic transmissions, it won’t hurt to know a bit more, right? And I have plenty of good reasons for you to learn ...

Concept cars that became reality

Posted by:

Car designers are a creative bunch! But making the imaginary a reality is not always possible, often for practical reasons. Science can’t always bring to life a dream machine an ambitious designer draws on paper. Most concept cars just epitomize a vision of the future.

Take Phantom Corsair (1938), Alfa Romeo BAT 5 (1953), or Lincoln Futura (1955), for instance. These concepts have never made it to production and now rest in the annals of the automobile history.

But, there are also ...

British Racing Green. Yes, this is a color.

Posted by:

In modern-day auto racing, you may have a hard time distinguishing which car represents which country. But in the early days of racing, the car design was very simple, and each country had a representing color. In this post, let’s tackle British Racing Green. Yes, this is a color!

Participants had to paint all vehicles competing in Continue Reading →

Why do we find supercars so attractive?

Posted by:

Now, imagine – the click of the ignition switch, and the turbo wakes up. The torque piles on tempting you to bury the pedal closer to the floor. Your heart starts quickening. You feel the adrenaline kick in. The last drops of anticipation… and you’re defying the laws of physics. Flying down the track at triple-digit speeds, negotiating the curves with mind-bending G-force.

But driving fast is a thrill that few can afford. Or to put it in other words, few ...
